Debut record “DEEP WEB” released by The Urns

After a couple of cassette releases, The Urns have elevated their game on this full length. They combine the hummable riffs of early Weezer and Built To Spill with the heft and dynamics of bands like Archers of Loaf and The Pixies.

This is one of the best releases to come out of Birmingham in a long, long while. You can pre-order the vinyl version of the record on the Fat Sandwich Records webstore and also catch The Urns at Bottletree opening for Waxahatchee, Screaming Females, and Tenement on Friday, September 20th.

DEEP WEB is out digitally September 24th. The vinyl copies will follow soon after that.

Watch their video below for their first single Crow’s Feet filmed here in Birmingham and actually features every city of the city, believe it or not. The Urns are built with the components of several other bands. The members are Chayse Porter, Keith Neighbors, Aaron Gibbs, Ricky Edge and Carter Wilson.

Check back with us next week when we check in with some other folks on the bill with them at the upcoming Bottletree show!
